One of Berne’s native sons, John Eicher will be speaking Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room. Having done extensive research on the temperance movement in Berne, John will be sharing his knowledge of this exciting and volatile time of local history. John’s research was recently featured in the prestigious Indiana Magazine of History. The temperance movement gave rise to the saloon fights that were a noted time in the formative years of Berne culture. You won’t want to miss this interesting presentation!
